Do I have to attend court?
Accused persons are required to attend court where they are subject to a Bail Agreement (Police Bail Agreement or Court Bail Agreement) and/or are directed by the court to attend. In circumstances where an accused is unable to attend due to matters outside of their control, subject to the court’s permission, we can seek your excusal.
What do I wear to court?
It is always recommended that you attend court in appropriate ‘business attire’. The court is a formal setting and we strongly encourage, where possible, that you present in a respectful and neat manner, akin to a job interview. This could include a shirt (no tie) and pants. You are not required to wear a suit. If you coming to/from work, your work uniform is acceptable.
