Do I have to attend court?

Accused persons are required to attend court where they are subject to a Bail Agreement (Police Bail Agreement or Court Bail Agreement) and/or are directed by the court to attend. What do I wear to court?

It is always recommended that you attend court in appropriate ‘business attire’. The court is a formal setting and we strongly encourage, where possible, that you present in a respectful and neat manner, akin to a job interview. This could include a shirt (no tie) and pants. You are not required to wear a suit. If you coming to/from work, your work uniform is acceptable.
